This year’s theme, “Collective Corazón: Breaking Barriers and Inspiring Change,” focuses on fostering inclusivity and equity within the education system.

Join CALSA Superintendent of the Year, Ilsa Garza-Gonzalez, and Orenda Education Senior Achievement Specialist, Bambi Smith, as they share their insights and experiences on transforming educational outcomes. Ilsa Garza-Gonzalez will discuss how she inspired a district to overcome equity gaps, resulting in remarkable achievements for Latino students, English Learners, Students with Disabilities, and those in Alternative Education. This session will highlight the importance of changing adult belief systems and conditions for students to ensure that ALL students have access to every life option after high school.
