Orenda’s Impact

Recent Partner Performance

Fallbrook Union High School

Superintendent Isla Garza-Gonzalez has led Fallbrook Union High School District to substantial growth in both ELA and Math.   Fallbrook’s partnership commenced with an equity study in the Spring of 2019 .  During the 2019-2020 school year, Fallbrook’s leadership team participated in admin power clinics leading to summer institute, when the schools shut down in March of 2020. Fallbrook was committed to moving forward with the work to begin curriculum alignment and thus proceeded virtually.  In August of 2020, Fallbrook’s teachers and administration participated in a virtual summer institute focused on Orenda’s TLC model, which is a framework for providing instruction in any academic setting, as well as tackling the task of curriculum alignment. Despite the most challenging conditions, Fallbrook’s team successfully implemented the first year of systems work. Leading into the summer of 2021, Fallbrook chose to expand their curriculum alignment work outside of ELA, and Math to include Science, Social Science and CTE. From 2019-2023 Fallbrook Union High School District has improved by 19% in ELA, and 6% in Math compared to the State of California.
